Impacts of Migration on Environmental Issues Population growth in the United States is more of a threat to the Earth's environment than population growth in any other part of the world. At this moment, at least almost 2 million legal and illegal immigrants live in the United States each year; with the average Hispanic/Latin woman giving birth to 3 children in her lifetime. Though, on the other hand, a small portion of immigrants which is about 30 percent, return to their country of origin, taking at least their younger children with them, in such a way decreasing the effect of their fertility. So therefore, immigrants to The United States of America, and their first-generation of children, are representing two-thirds of the US population growth. Impacts of Migration on Social Issues The more contact a native-born American has with immigrants, the more positive view of immigrants one has. The less contact a native-born American has with immigrants, the more likely one would have a negative view of immigrants. A little racism is sometimes considered controversial because of theories of power in society. Racist thinking among and between minority groups does occur like for example conflicts between blacks and Korean immigrants or between African Americans and the mostly non-white Latino immigrants. Impacts of Migration on Economic Issues Hispanic immigrants across the United States are being hit hard by the subprime mortgage crisis. There is an unequal level of shut downs in some immigrant neighborhoods. The banking industry provided home loans to a few immigrants to start off their life. On June 13, 1998, president Bill Clinton said “New immigrants are good for America. They are revitalizing our cities...building our new economy...strengthening our ties to the global economy, just as earlier waves of immigrants settled on the new frontier and powered the Industrial Revolution. They are energizing our culture and broadening our vision of the world. They are renewing our most basic values and reminding us all of what it truly means to be an American.” Hispanic immigrants across the United States are being hit hard by the subprime mortgage crisis. Impacts of Migration on Political Issues Immigrants differ on their political views however, the Democratic Party is considered to be in a stronger position between all immigrants overall. However, immigrants are similar to the American population in that their religious union can impact both their social values and votes. Hispanic evangelicals, for example, are even more strongly conservative than non-Hispanic evangelicals. This trend is often similar for Hispanics or others strongly identifying with Catholicism. Solutions America is one of the top countries with migration and there should be boundaries as well as the securities. Migration in USA is very good because it is making the population bigger and wider and also is very good since a lot of people are born in USA and becoming Americans.
