 Diagnose with mild case of ADHD junior year in high school  Beginning in ESL Program  Discrepancy Model  4 th grade had a math tutor  Regular tutor in middle school  Reading/Math classes  Struggled from 10 th -12 th  Reading class/SAT’s  Not being able to graduate.  Thanks to Miss Doll and Marinucci

 “Invisible disability”  Difficult with environmental distractions, helpful to position desks away from doors, windows, cluttered areas. Study carrels for focus.  Unexpected: difficulty or low performance in one or more academic areas (would not lead you to predict that he or she would have difficulty)  Ineffective or inefficient information- processing or learning strategies in the areas of difficulty
