3 1. Using Filters Exercise 1.Drill down from Executive Dashboard (select Total page views) 2.Open Discovery Panel 3.Apply filters (drag and drop) Discovery Panel – additions to the current report: Available Filters: values to which data is compared. Filter matches will be included in the report Available Metrics: component that displays the result of applying an operation to the data; most of the columns in a NetInsight report display metrics Available Dimensions: component that displays data without performing an operation on it first; in all reports except crosstab reports, only one column displays a dimension; the dimension value is the value stored in the report column next to the row number

Custom Report Exercise 1.Select Custom Profile Tab; press Create Report 2.Select Customize an existing report, select report; press Continue 3.Set Report Definitions (Time Period, Filters, etc.) 4.Press Save; name the report and choose folder; press Continue 5.Go back to Custom Profile Tab; select your report; press Run Report 6.Press Run button Create and save a custom report

Custom Dashboard Exercise 1.Select Custom Profile Tab; press Create Report 2.Select Define a new report; select Custom Dashboard; press Continue 3.Select Only days in a fixed date range; set time frame 4.Select Add; pick report; name Section title; repeat process 5.Use arrow to position report placement in Dashboard; press Continue when done 6.Name Dashboard report; save it 7.Select Custom tab; select Dashboard report; press Run Create and save a custom report

6 4. Using Sticky Filters Exercise 1.Drill down from Executive Dashboard 2.Set Sticky Filters 3.Open Discovery Panel 4.Apply filters 5.Select a different report / Dashboard 6.Unset the Sticky Filter 7.Reload the report / Dashboard

Create Trend Report Exercise 1.Select Custom Profile Tab; press Create Report 2.Select Define a new report; select Trend Report; press Continue 3.Select Only days in a fixed date range; set time frame 4.Select from Available Metrics; press Continue 5.Supply Report Title; Group results; Set number of rows; Set Sort Order; Set No Graph; Click Continue 6.Add Filters ; Click Continue 7.Optionally set A/B Groups ; Click Continue 8.Save Report; Go to Custom tab; Select report; Run report
