The Amazing Number 28 By:Young Joong Kim

Why I Chose This Number I chose this number because it was the first number to come to my head when Ms. Maggie asked us to pick a number or she’d chop our tongues off and serve it as tongue stew for her cats…I just thought that any number would have a history and meaning in religions so why think when it can just come to your head?!?!

INVESTIGATION 1 UNIT PROJECT. My special number is the number is on the board for the Factor Game and the Product Game, but it would be the second worst first move for the Factor Game because although your opponent has done nothing, you would give them the same points as you since 28 is a Perfect number. It is one of the best first moves in the Product Game though, because 28 is on the middle of the game board and you’ll have more choices for your next move.

IVESTIGATION 2 UNIT PROJECT. My number is a composite number and has 1.) 1,28 2.)2,14 3.)4,7. 3 Factor pairs and 6 factors. My number is an even number.

Factor Pairs = Pairs of factors that are multiplied by each other to get their multiple(not necessarily the LCM). Factor pairs give dimensions of a rectangle, the width and the length are the factors. Proper Factors = All of the factors of a number other than itself.
