Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

His father's name was Abdullah. His mother's name was Aminah. His father died before he was born and his mother was very sad.

Muhammad's grandfather took care of him and Aminah for several years. When Muhammad was six his mother died. Muhammad was an orphan. He was very sad. Later his grandfather died,when he was eight, leaving Muhammad in the care of his uncle, Abu Talib.

Muhammad was an extraordinary boy even when he was a child. He didn't run around and get into fights like the other kids did. He always told the truth.

He helped his uncle out by tending the sheep and everyone thought he was a good boy.
