Creating Sensory Images  Expert thinkers create sensory images to help solve a problem.  What types of things are sensory images?  What type of sensory image might be helpful to solve this problem?

A new basketball team was formed in which each of the teams will play three games against each of the other teams. There are seven teams: the Antelopes, the Bears, the Cubs, the Dusters, the Eagles, the Foxes, and the Goats. How many games will be played in all?

Your Task  With your partner, solve the problem I assign to you by creating a sensory image.  Be neat, thorough, and concise.  Be ready to share your image and solution with the class!  If you finish before we’re ready to present, begin working on the other problems.

Exit Slip  On an index card, answer the following question: How can creating a sensory image help you to solve problems?
