Have you ever been to New York City before Have you ever been to New York City before? If so, then you probably know that there are so many tall skyscrapers there. There is The Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, General Electric Building, Freedom Tower, MetLife Building, New York Times Building and The Bank Of America Building. Have you ever visited any of these buildings? These are the 7 tallest buildings in New York City. If you are interested in learning more about these monsters, then stay tuned. New York is very well known for it’s tall skyscrapers.   One reason that skyscrapers in New York City are well known is because they are very famous. For example, most of the skyscrapers attract so many tourists who always give great feedback on the building and walk out with a big smile on their face. Furthermore, the tourists that come and go also communicate with other tourists from around the world and tell them to visit these skyscrapers. They tell them where they are and when they are open causing more tourists to attend these attractions.

Another reason that skyscrapers in New York City became well known is because of the two tallest buildings in New York City which are the Freedom Tower and The Empire State Building. People are interested in these buildings and visit New York City to explore and learn more about them. Have you ever been to one of these buildings before? Which skyscraper do you think is taller by looking at it? Well I will tell you the answer right now. The Freedom Tower is taller than the Empire State Building. These buildings are known all around the world. For example, more than 1,000 people come to these buildings every day. Also, both of these buildings represent New York City in a very POWERFUL way which makes people have a strong interest in them. This is what makes New York City such a wonderful place. In conclusion, there are many parts of New York City that make it a wonderful place, but the places that stands out the most are the skyscrapers. Skyscrapers are the ones who bring light to New York City, attract tourists from all around the world, and make living more adventurous and more exciting. Skyscrapers are the ones that make New York City a WONDER.

MetLife Building The construction of the MetLife building began in 1960 and was finished in 1963. The MetLife building has a height of 246,3 meters, the roof is 808ft (246 meters), the floor area is 3,140,000 square feet and has 23 elevators.

Chrysler Building The construction of the Chrysler building began in 1928 and was finished in 1930. The Chrysler building has a height of 319 meters ( 1046 feet ), the floor area is 111,201 meters ( 1,195,000 square feet, has 32 elevators, the roof is 925 feet (282 meters) and the Chrysler cars were invented after the Chrysler Building. The building is used for different offices. It wants to use more workers to make more space for new jobs.

The Bank Of America Building The construction of the Bank Of America Building began in 2004 and was completed in 2009. It has height of 365.8 meters ( 1,200 ) feet. Has 52 elevators, has a floor area that is 2,100,000 square feet ( 200,000 meters ), the floor count is 55 ( +3 basement floors ), the roof is 287.9 meters ( 945 ) feet, and it costs US $1 billion. Bank of America's commitment to the mortgage industry is focused on continuous growth, increased teamwork, and excellent customer service.

The New York Times Building The construction of the New York Times building began in 2003 and was completed in 2007. The building costs $850 million. Has a height of 1,046 feet ( 319 meters ) which is the same height as the Chrysler building. The roof is 748 feet ( 228 meters ), the floor count is 52, the floor area is 1,540,000 square feet ( 143,000 meters ), and has 32 elevators ( 24 passenger, 8 service ). The construction and skilled trades jobs from The New York Times building also is including concrete and masonry jobs, heavy equipment operation jobs.

GE Building (General Electric) The construction of the GE building began in 1931 and was completed in 1933. The floor count is 70, the floor area is 195,095 meters, the height of the GE building is 852 feet ( 260 meters ) and it is very famous for it’s General Electrics.

The Empire State Building The construction for The Empire State building began in 1929 and was completed in 1931. The Building costs $40,948,900. The Building has a height of 1,250 feet ( 381 meters ), the tip is 1,454 feet ( 443 meters ), the top floor is 1,224 feet ( 373 meters ), the floor count is 102, the floor area is 2,248,355 square feet ( 208,879 meters ), and has 73 elevators. The Empire State Building is mostly filled with rentable space for businesses. No one lives in the building.The building is also used as a tourist attraction and offers views from the 86th and 102nd floors. The Empire State Building

The Freedom Tower The construction of the Freedom Tower began in 2006 and will be completed in 2014. The building costs $3.9 billion. The height of the building is 1,776 feet ( 542 meters ), the tip is 1,792 feet ( 547 meters ), the roof is 1,368 feet ( 417 meters ), the floor count is 104 ( +5 basement floors ), the floor area is 3,501,274 square feet ( 325,279 meters ), and has 71 elevators. The building was built because it wanted to remind everyone of the loss of the Twin Towers and this is kind of a replacement for them. The Freedom Tower is called ‘the Freedom Tower’ because it shows freedom of the Twin Towers loss.
