A Mi Házunk ("Our House") Határtalan Szív Alapítvány (Unlimited Heart Foundation) (Esztergom)

Targeted Groups: Directly: Gypsy children living in the settlement area, up to 20 years old. Indirectly: 50 gypsy families, pupils from 5 elementary schools, children from 2 kindergartens.

Activities and Methods Complex caritative-educational-instructional and social program, which tries to provide adequate socialisation and social integration for the rom children and youngsters living in the settlement area.

“Children's snug” Daily programs with infants and small children throughout the week, with focus on providing basic hygienic conditions through the programs Maintaining daily contact with the parents Care – education

Wake-up program Making children aware of regularity and accuracy, fulfilling assignments, establishing daily routines Transporting children into kindergarten and school with our own van, escort by a teacher. Promoting effective communication between educational institutions and parents

The process of nursing (1) Our nursing plan emphasises the need to join individual and group methods. A complex investigation into the situation of the pupil. Means test, consultation with the schoolmaster, measuring knowledge, personality tests, sociometric study, visiting families, self-knowledge training. Preparing personalised plans (Individual Development Plans)

Nursing program for children from kindergarten Complex personality development and preparation for school in a playful manner. Logopaedia sessions. Psychological counselling. Extra food, bathing facilities (daily).

Nursing program for children from elementary schools (1) Children may join the programs organised by the house from 16:00 to 19:00 every day. Programs are organised for two groups (younger/elder), and they are managed in a rotational system.

Nursing program for children from elementary schools (2)  We start with an IT session, then go on with studying (making homework, coaching, preparing for tests/quizzes, development). This is followed by artisanship and games.

Nursing program for children from elementary schools (3) The process of teaching-educational program performed with children: –Our group manager pedagogues consult at least three times a year with the schoolmasters, and they develop a joint strategy, the purpose of which is to help the integration of children, and to improve their performance in school. As a next step, we develop individual educational plans, and build the educational programs in "Mi Házunk" on these plans. Besides these, a teaching assistant helps the children's closing up (during regular schooltime classes).
