Counselling Psychology By Kaitlyn Thomas, Casey Bamford and Emily Mitrevski.

What are they? Counselling psychologists are professional and accredited psychologists that also specialise in therapeutic healing through the counselling process and having a client relationship. Counselling psychologist can help people: Manage stress Deal with emotional problems Manage mental illness Counselling psychologists are often employed as teachers, supervisors, researches and service providers.

Who do they work with? Counselling psychologists work with couples hoping to repair relationships, families hoping to improve family relations, individuals having trouble managing personal problems and organizations wanting to select new staff or manage clients with behavioural problems.

What uni can I go to? If you want to learn how to become a counselling psychologist you can undergo courses at the Australian Institute of professional Counsellors. The institutes website is http://www.aipc.net.au/
