Delivery of Course The core units will be delivered first so… By Christmas, students achieve the Level 3 Certificate (1 AS Level) By Easter, students achieve the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma (1 A level) By the end of Year 12, students achieve the Level 3 90 Credit Diploma (1.5 A Levels) By the end of Year 13, students achieve the Level 3 Extended Diploma (3 A Levels)
How Will My Work Be Assessed? On completion of each unit your work will be graded as a Pass, Merit or Distinction. Successful completion of this course is equivalent to that of 3 A-Levels. Throughout the Course you may also undertake external qualifications in Sports Massage, Sports Coaching and First Aid. No final examinations.

Where Will I Be Taught? State of the art new Fitness Suite in 6 th Form Centre. Once inducted, students are able to use this facility. Computer Suites. Rehabilitation and Massage Rooms. Offsite Facilities. Work Experience Placement – students choose what field they wish to go into and we try our best to accommodate. BTEC National Sports and Exercise Science Following Exercise and Science pathway as oppose to Sport. More diverse and specialised units. To our knowledge we are the only Centre in Greater Manchester to offer this course. More employment opportunities/university prospects on completion of this course.
What Will The Course Prepare Me For? The Course is ideal for those wishing to follow a career in Sports Coaching or Teaching, Sports Physiotherapy, Treatment or Rehabilitation as well as Sports Management and Sports Psychology. Also suitable for those wanting to go into Higher Education.
Higher Education 10 Year 13 students applied through UCAS to go to University. 38 courses have been applied for in total. All students were offered places with grades varying from PPP to DDD. The majority of students received offers from all of their applications. Courses offered/applied for included Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Sports Coaching, Sports Development and Sport & Exercise Science.
