Virtue

Virtue- is a good habit that helps us to act according to God’s love for us. Vice- is a bad habit. Two types of virtue Theological Virtues- are gifts from God that helps bring us closer to him, and help us to want to be with him forever. a. Three theological virtues are: faith, hope, and love.

2. Cardinal Virtues- guide our minds and actions to live a good life. Four cardinal virtues are: prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. Theological Virtues: Faith enable us to believe in God. helps us to believe and accept all that God has said and done. helps us to believe that God is with us and acting in our lives.

b. Hope enables us to trust in Jesus and in God’s promise to love us always. helps us to work to spread the kingdom of God here on earth, and to look forward to the kingdom in heaven. c. Love the greatest of all the virtues. enables us to love God and our neighbors.

Cardinal Virtues Prudence helps us make judgments and direct our actions toward what is good. b. Justice helps us to give God and our neighbors what is rightfully theirs. c. Fortitude helps us to act bravely in the face of troubles and fears. d. Temperance Helps us to keep our desire under control and balance our use of material goods.
