George Washington was the 1 st President and the general of the American army. John Adams was the 2 nd president and the 1 st Vice President. Benjamin Franklin was the inventor of the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin Stove Thomas Jefferson was the 3 rd President, the 2 nd Vice President, and the writer of the Declaration of Independence.
