Behavioral Economics Asset Development & Vocational Rehabilitation 30-Second Training Series

TACE Center: Region IV, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute. Funded by RSA Grant # H264A © 2013 What is Behavioral Economics ? And what does it have to do with vocational counseling? And why should I care?

TACE Center: Region IV, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute. Funded by RSA Grant # H264A © 2013 Behavioral Economics? Behavioral Economics is the study of how being rich can impact behavior and I should care because one day I am going to have a lot of money. A B Behavioral Economics is the study of strategies that assist in acquiring and maintaining wealth. Everyone should care because as public dollars dwindle private dollars are what will keep vocational rehabilitation going. C Behavioral economics studies the effects of social, cognitive, and emotional factors on the economic decisions people make. In counseling and guidance it helps to understand that the decisions people make are not always logical and are frequently driven my emotion.

TACE Center: Region IV, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute. Funded by RSA Grant # H264A © 2013 Incorrect … Behavioral Economics can look at how people view status related to money but the field’s focus is far more global and extensive in understanding how we think about money. When do I get rich?

TACE Center: Region IV, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute. Funded by RSA Grant # H264A © 2013 Incorrect… Behavioral Economics does study strategies that assist in acquiring and maintaining wealth. It is highly unlikely that, even with dwindling public dollars, private dollars are what will keep vocational rehabilitation going.

TACE Center: Region IV, a project of the Burton Blatt Institute. Funded by RSA Grant # H264A © 2013 You are on the money! CORRECT! Correct !
