Culture Diversity

Culture Cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meanings, hierarchies, religion, notions of time, roles, spatial relations, concepts of the universe, and material objects and possessions acquired by a group of people in the course of generations through individual and group striving. Is the systems of knowledge shared by a relatively large group of people. Culture is communication, communication is culture.

Culture One's cultural values can change over a lifetime as a person moves or participates in norms of a society in different places. Culture changes over time as technology and industry change. Is a strong part of people's lives. It influences their views, their values, their humor, their hopes, their loyalties, and their worries and fears.

Traditions Practiced in many distinct forms. Ritualistic practices that are passed on generation after generation; they're passed through society, family and individual influences. Some based on religious beliefs. Helps understanding of a particular culture. define the principles of customs for the people who practice them. Traditions include a range of beliefs and behavior. National Anthems and national holidays also are a part of tradition. 

Difference Tradition is the passing of beliefs or behaviors from one generation to the next generation, whereas culture reflects the characteristics that describe a society at a particular time; and the culture is mostly associated with the art forms Traditional activities always reconnect us with the past, whereas the culture defines the attributes of a particular society at a particular time and place.  

Importance of culture Creates Identification. Bonds People Establishes Principles Stand Apart In Foreign Countries

Importance of cultural diversity An appreciation of cultural diversity goes hand-in-hand with a just and equitable society. 

Culture shock Feeling of disorientation, loneliness, insecurity or confusion that can occur when someone leaves his or her home country to live in a new culture.  The impact you may feel when you enter a culture very different from one to which you are accustomed.

Culture shock is the mental, physical and emotional adjustment to living in a new environment.

Escaping Culture shock Carefully read the process outlined so that you will recognize the symptoms and feelings. Most importantly, understand that those frustrating feelings will pass. Try not to allow yourself to blow trivial differences out of proportion. don't label differences as "good" or "bad.“ Compare perspectives. Maintain the ability to laugh at your mistakes. do as the Romans do" and accept all the differences.
