Breaking News English www.breakingnewsenglish.com

Breaking News English Presents News Items in British and American English both in written and in spoken format. Every item is presented in an audio file as well as in a written newspaper article.

Breaking News English For every news item there are around 30-40 different kinds of exercises for the learners to engage in. These exercises are of many different kinds and presented in different formats. The feedback the learner gets is therefore also of different kinds, but most of it is in the form or a right/wrong answer.

Breaking News English

Breaking News English The site addresses learners of English at an intermediate level and over the age of approximately 13. Some of the content on the site is addressed to teachers of English, and some of it is addressing the students directly. Some of the exercises are meant for teachers to organize and lead, other exercises are for students to engage in directly online on their computers with direct right/wrong feedback from the ”machine”.

Breakin News English These two alternatives consist of lesson materials for teachers. They contain all kinds of activities to use in a classroom situation.

Breaking News English

Breaking News English All of these alternatives are for the student to choose from him- or herself. Most of these exercises will give an automatic right/wrong answer.

Breaking News English There are several listening options, but all of the exercises are based on you listening to (or reading) the news article. Listen and spell as well as the Dictation are automatically corrected by the programme, so the student gets instant feedback.

Breaking News English Speed reading is part of the reading exercises for every article. Some of the reading activities that students can choose themselves seem less didactically well designed…

Breaking News English

Breaking News English The grammar exercises are the same for every article. They are also based on the specific article and again you are working on exactly the same text.

Breaking News English In the Spell activities as well as in the Word activities, the student works again with the very same article and the same vocabulary. There is instant feedback on how many words are correctly spelled and how many words are correctly chosen for the different exercises.

Breaking News English Interesting short news articles. Loads of different exercises to choose from. Good for introducing and working on in the classroom and then asking students to go on working on their own. At the bottom of every page there are lots of more activities to choose from.
