What is blended training? Blending two or more of the following to support academic and training programs  Hands-on training  Web-based training  Penn State developed quick tutorials  Handouts  Streamed videos (future)  Other resources

Who can use the service? Faculty in the classroom Staff involved in providing training to departments and individuals Student groups with training needs

Are there any user requirements? Users must have the following:  An active Penn State Access Account (not FPS Accounts)  PC with a browser Internet connection  An ANGEL group to log into

Where can it be done? In our lab In a departmental lab In an ITS technology classroom Virtually using ANGEL Virtually using WBT’s Training Plan

When can it be done? At any time of the year based on resource availability. At your convenience for Web-based only As time, personnel and lab availability dictates for hands-on instruction

Why is this service available? Undergrads were identified as under served population. Faculty asked. Students want just in time training that is relevant to their coursework.

How is it done? Consulting session on available resources and point of contact for learners (ANGEL, WBT, own Website, etc.) Determine the training needs of the learners (specific skills and knowledge) Coordinate and/or teach customer to use the tools needed to access the resources
