Why fight? June 22, 1941 Germany attacked Russia. Russia, who had been friends with Germany, then became an enemy of the Axis Powers and joined the Allies. The original members of the Allies included Great Britain, France and Poland. When Germany invaded Poland, Great Britain and France declared war on Germany.

Women who did work were paid less and had fewer benefits. After war, there is a greater call for social change!
