FM 5S Projects Richard Smith provided overview training on April 9, 2014 All FM team leaders attended Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain Reviewed the 8 Wastes Lack of Focus, Excess Inventory, Transportation, Motion, Waiting, Defects, Over Processing and Over Production
Charter Mission – To provide Berea College with clean dormitory and office areas in a highly efficient manner along with the highest level of customer service. Process Description – Housekeeping staff stores and retrieves equipment and supplies from a centrally located storage area. Problem Statement – Because the equipment and supplies are not organized systematically by type and because a large amount of obsolete or broken equipment is stored in this area there is not a logical or efficient way to retrieve the required equipment.
