Before the prophet was born During her pregnancy, Amina felt no pain or discomfort. She had always heard women complaining about the hardships of pregnancy, but she felt very well. During these months Amina had many dreams. One night in a dream she saw a light coming out of her. The light was shining on castles of Syria.

Birth Prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca and lived there for the first 52 years of his life (c. 570–622). This period is generally divided into two phases, before and after declaring his prophetic visions. The month of his birthday was Rabi’ al-awaal. His dad died before he was born.

childhood Prophet Muhammad spent the first five years of his life with Halima and then she returned him to his mother, Amina. His mother brought him up with great love and devotion. When he was about six years old, she took him to Madina for a few days. On her return journey, however, she breathed her last on the way. After this his grandfather Abd al-Muttalib took him into his care.

childhood Mohammed received his first revelation in 610, on the mountain of Hira outside Mecca. The revelation came in a time when Mohammed searched for solitude. Mohammed received the first fraction of the Holy Koran from the angel Gabriel, and experienced first great pain, and feared that he was going to die. Mohammed was ordered to recite though the Arabic word 'iqra' more often is understood as 'read', but Mohammed is considered illiterate by Muslim scholars.
