Ancient Egyptian Civilization Ancient Egypt was ruled by a 16 year old pharaoh named king Tut. A pharaoh is the ruler in Ancient Egypt. King Tut was not the only pharaoh. Many other pharaohs ruled Ancient Egypt. For example his father Akhenaton IV who ruled for seventeen years. King Tut was the youngest person to ever become a pharaoh in Ancient Egypt. King Tut was 12 years old when he became a pharaoh. As a young pharaoh, King Tut had many responsibilities. He had to watch out for all of Ancient Egypt and since he was only 12 that was hard for him.

Modern Egypt Civilization Millions of protesters demanded the overthrow of president Hosni Mubarak. Egypt’s Central Security Forces was gradually replaced by military troops. These forces were loyal to Mubarak. In modern Egypt the Egyptians have had Mubarak for 30 years and they wanted a new president, so they tried to overthrow him.

Ancient Egyptian Life Ancient Egyptians were ruled by Pharaohs. Ancient Egyptians believed in gods. They worshipped these gods. One of the gods they worshipped was Sun disc or Re. Some Egyptians only worshipped him because they believed he had the most power. The only Pharaoh that believed this was Akhenaton who was the father of Tutankhamun.

Modern Egypt Life International reaction has varied, with most Western nations condoning peaceful protests. But they were concerned about the stability of Egypt and the region. The Egyptian and Tunisian revolutions have influenced demonstrations in other Arab countries. These countries included Yemen, Bahrain, Jordan and Libya.

Ancient Egyptian Rulers Ancient Egypt was ruled under hundreds of Pharaohs. One of the very popular Pharaohs was Cleopatra. Cleopatra was one of the few women Pharaohs. Cleopatra didn’t get to live a long life because she commited suicide by letting a poisonous snake bite her.

Modern Egypt Government Mubarak had dissolved his government. Then he appointed former head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate Omar Suleiman. Then he asked aviation minister and the former chief of Egypt’s air force Ahmed Shafik to form a new government. Mubarak announced he did not intend to seek reelection in September, for his response to mounting pressure.
