Short and Long Term Goals Goal Setting Short and Long Term Goals SHORT TERM: Personal Goals (relationships, family, financial, health, leisure, education, personal development, travels etc.) For Example: Take a stress management course No more Saturday overtime! Go to gym at least once a week Save up for a trip to USA LONG TERM: Make more time for myself Provide a caring and supportive environment for my family Pay off Mortgage Take 3 overseas trips SHORT TERM: Career Goals For Example: Develop my general written communication skills. Start an OH&S course to increase my awareness LONG TERM: Have a stimulating , challenging job that leaves me with time and energy from my personal goals. Work my way through my masters degree for Commerce
Goal Setting Enabling Goals These are: Smaller goals which allow you to reach your long term goals Personal Goals (relationships, family, financial, health, leisure, education, personal development, travels etc.) For Example: My Goal is to do well in my HSC Exams so that I can gain entry to university and become a Business Graduate Career Goals For Example: My Goal is to enter into an Electrical Apprenticeship, so that I can become a qualified electrician and gain experience to start my own business
