 Each workplace building must have at least two means of escape remote from one another.  Fire doors must not be blocked or locked when employees are in the building.  Exit routes from building must be clear and free of obstructions and properly marked with exit signs.

 Each workplace building must have the proper type and number of fire extinguishers for the fire hazard.  Fire extinguishers have to be inspected at least annually.  A written emergency action plan.

 A written emergency action plan.  Special procedures for helping the physically impaired.  An emergency alarm system.  Training.

 A review of the written plan.  Proper housekeeping practices.  Controlling ignition sources.  Know the fire hazards associated with your work area.
