How do they get placed into foster care? Irresponsible parents. Breaking the law. Not going to school. Running away from home.

Where do they get placed when they get put into foster care? Group homes. Other family members. Juvenile detention. JRC (juvenile receiving center)

How long can they be in foster care? Up till they are 21 years of age. If they are doing good they can be released at 18.

What are some of the ups and downs of foster care. Ups Paid education. They will buy car if you have done well. Medical insurance up until you are 23 years of age. They will help you get Food stamps. Downs Forced to adapt. Being used for money. Not with your family. Living different life style conditions.
