Lesson Objectives The student will learn some historical facts about ancient Egypt The student will learn about the pyramids of ancient Egypt The student will learn about the cultures of ancient Egypt

Lesson Objectives Continued The students will learn about the ancient writings of hieroglyphics The students will be able to write a short essay using hieroglyphics The students will be able to identify pictures of things and places from ancient Egypt

Student Activities The students will write a 1 paragraph essay about Ancient Egypt using hieroglyphics. They will use the hieroglyphics alphabet that is presented on the next slide.

Student Activities Contd. The students will go to each of the linked websites and read through some to the given information about Ancient Egypt. They will then give an oral report about 1 website that they enjoyed.

Presentation Slides The following slides contain pictures of various sites in Egypt. Theses pictures will be great for showing to a group of students so they will be able to visualize what Egypt is like.
