Prevention Eliminate opportunity. Only carry specific credit cards that are used on a daily basis. Leave most credit cards at home in a secure place. Pay attention to who and how people handle credit cards. Look for suspicious behavior. Credit card is returned in a reasonable amount of time. Make sure websites are secure when shopping online. Avoid giving out credit card information if possible. Consumers

Prevention-Skimming Device Since they are very hard to detect, consumers need to check bank statements on a regular basis! This is VERY important because you can track fraudulent purchases if you check your bank account on a regular basis. Always be aware!

Prevention-RFID Wrap credit cards in foil if they contain RFID. –This protects the radio chip inside the credit card. Consumers can purchase metal wallets. Credit card-shaped protection device known as GuardBunny. Kristin Paget-Recursion VenturesConsumers
