Moving all the way across Asia to our new home! A lot smaller in size, but just as rich in history Religion, politics, economics, and culture are all a part of the story, just like last unit

Before we get started! What do you guys know about Japan at this point? Get into groups of 4 and write down some of the things you know about Japan at this point!

 Most people probably are familiar with the character, the samurai  We will be learning about how feudal Japan gave rise to the Samurai  Can you think of anything similar to the samurai that we have learned about before?

Beyond the giant monster movies, scary monster movies And not just movies either, The Tales of Genji is considered one of the earliest novels What other sorts of storytelling from Japan has had an effect on the world?
