Words to The Preamble We the people of the United States, In order to form a more perfect union, Establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, Provide for the common defense, Promote the general welfare and Secure the blessings of liberty To ourselves and our Posterity Do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Goal #1 Form a More Perfect Union To unite the 13 separate states into one country
Goal #2 Establish Justice To create one set of supreme rules that ALL the states could agree on
Goal #3 Insure Domestic Tranquility To keep peace among the people of the new nation
Goal #4 Provide for the Common Defense To provide $$$ for a strong national defense to protect the whole country (all 13 states)
Goal #5 Promote the General Welfare To make sure the government is taking care of the well-being of it’s citizens
Goal #6 Secure the Blessings of Liberty To protect the freedom (liberty) that they fought to get (Revolutionary War)
