Addition is the action or process of adding something to something else. Example: pick up 1 apple with your right hand. Pick up one apple with your left hand. Now how many apples are you holding? 2 apples left right

This is the same as if it was written using: Numbers: = 2 OR Words: One plus one equals two

Put the 2 circles and the 3 circles together and count how many circles you have 5 circles = 5
