INTRODUCTION Birthday parties are great fun! Some families celebrate with a big party and some families celebrate with a small party. Think of some of the parties you have been to. What type of food was served? Was there cake? How many people came? How were you invited?

TASK Now it is your turn to plan a birthday party TASK Now it is your turn to plan a birthday party! You will work on numerous activities that will help you learn how to plan a great party. You will make a guest list, an invitation, a menu, and a shopping list. All assignments will be printed out and placed in a party planning folder.

Process Complete the alphabetization practice sheet. PRINT! Using first names only, prepare and alphabetize a guest list (your classmates). PRINT! Design an invitation with information about your party. PRINT! Complete quiz on addressing envelopes. Address an envelope to one of your classmates. Staple to a piece of paper and place in party planning folder. Look for recipe ideas. PRINT the ones you want to use and cite website. Plan a menu for the party. Make sure your recipes are appropriate for school! PRINT! Make a list for supplies and ingredients you will need. PRINT! Place all printed materials in the provided folder.
