2 Process Flow – Defect Management (Normal work-flow) System Engineer observes a defect – Hybrid projects CREATE VALIDATION STARTED IMPLEMENTATION STARTED CLOSED Defect Creator (System Engineer) creates a new work-item type – Defect in eLMS. SE describes the defect details and starts the workflow by initiating the SL review DC has completely described the defect details and starts the workflow. SL will review the defect and approve. SE then reports the defect to the supplier or implements in-house System Engineer will validate the fixed HW/SW version released by supplier and checks whether the bug is eradicated. System Engineer or the Supplier provides a fix to the defect and releases the fixed HW/SW. System Engineer closes the defect. UNDERREVIEW VALIDATION REVIEW System Lead performs a review and confirms whether the bug is eradicated System Engineer System Lead Supplier System Engineer System Lead

If the defect is accepted, SL initiates to start the implementation and assign it to respective System Engineer System Engineer will validate the fixed HW/SW version released by supplier and checks whether the bug is eradicated System Engineer or the Supplier provides a fix to the defect and releases the fixed HW/SW System Engineer closes the defect UNDERREVIEW VALIDATION REVIEW System Lead performs a review and confirms whether the bug is eradicated Peer System Lead Supplier System Engineer System Lead
