FOOD HYGIENE RATING SCHEME INTRODUCED BY THE STATE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION (SFDA)

BACKGROUND Most food with safety problems originated from small or medium-sized entities, lacking of the ability of self-management. Despite of the food hygiene law, the food safety situation in China today remains unsatisfactory. The situation needs to be improved and to meet the 13 th Five-Year Plan set by National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC).

HOW DOES THE FOOD HYGIENE RATING SCHEME WORK? Give you information about the hygiene standards in food premises at the time they are inspected.

HOW IS THE RATING CALCULATED? BASED ON THREE ELEMENTS 1.how hygienically the food is handled 2.the condition of the structure of the premises 3.make sure food is safe and make the officer confident about the future situation The rating has noting to do with the quality of the food or about the standards of service.

OUR ULTIMATE GOAL The customers will be free to choose whatever they would like to eat without too much concern about the food safety.
