Welcome to Prince Edward Island This is the Prince Edward island flag This is Prince Edward Island short form P.E.I. The province became apart of Canada in By Maya Nucifora

Charlottetown Charlottetown is the capital city of P.E.I it is home to about 135,000 people

Climate This is a picture of the windiest place in P.E.I. At the the North cape on the North West tip of the island is one of the windiest places in Canada.

Animals of P.E.I In 1976 Prince Edward islanders chose the blue jay for the provinces bird. There are many more animals in P.E.I these are just a few!

Physical characteristics Prince Edward island has many wet lands.The soil in Charlottetown covers about 190,200 hectares of the island ! In the 1500, white pine and oak trees covered the island. The northern side of the island has white sandy beaches.

Industries and natural resources Potatoes are P.E.I's main crop. Prince Edward island grows about 1.4 million tonnes of potatoes each year!!!!!! Irish moss grows in the coastal waters around P.E.I. it is a type of seaweed used to thicken product such as ice cream,fillings,tooth paste and pie.
