Key Ideas for Missionary Fundraising Personal information evening/luncheon/dinner Garage sale/trash and treasure auctions Share cropping Local church deputation

Key Ideas for Missional Fundraising Prepare yourself well for face-to-face meeting Prepare your potential donor Conducting the meeting Possible ideas: – Corporate events – Individual approaches

Discussion Questions Question: Who do you know within your ministry that you can take along with you for helping to tell the YFC story by telling their story of being a part of the YFC story? What makes them a good option? Question: Before leaving the appointment, should you ask for a follow-up appointment or call-back; within what period of time from the appointment?

Activity List at least five groups and their contact person in your area who would be interested in hearing the YFC story. By what date on your planning calendar to you want to have an appointment with each contact person asking for permission to tell the YFC story to the entire group? When it comes time to ask for the group’s involvement, are you asking them to give towards the movement of YFC or to you as the missionary? Which is best in each situation?
