WHAT COMMUNICATION CHALLENGES HAVE WE FACED AT THE DIOCESE? When each pastoral center department sent s to their own mailing lists, parish priests and staff received too many s from Pastoral Center Bishop Farrell had no way to broadcast important information to all employees of the diocese People had difficulty finding parish staff who had transferred from one parish to another Some parish staff were were not forwarding PC News to ministry staff, important messages from diocese
HOW DOES THE NEW SYSTEM SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS? Communications from the Pastoral Center are sent only once a week containing bulletins from all departments Bishop Farrell now has a way to send an blast to every employee in the diocese when he needs to do so stays with the employee, no matter where he or she works in the diocese Each employee is sent their own correspondence, removing the work for staff of forwarding the s to them
WHAT KIND OF S CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE? Pastoral Center News – Bulletins and announcements from all departments in the diocese (Every Thursday afternoon) Notes from the Bishop – If Bishop Farrell needs to send out timely news to all employees of the diocese (As needed)
HOW WILL EMPLOYEES RECEIVE THEIR S? Log in directly – Log in via Network Solutions website Forward to alternate address – Forward s to work or personal account We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE employees to forward their dallascatholic.org s to an address that they use frequently, such as their work or personal
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR LAUNCHING THESE NEW S? Each business manager will been given a hard copy list of all of the s for their parish or school It is the responsibility of each parish business manager to distribute the information about these new s to all employees Soft copies of the instructions can be found at

HOW WILL NEW EMPLOYEES BE NOTIFIED OF THEIR NEW ? We need your input on this decision! Option #1 – to Business Manager via custom address sent to business manager address for parish, who will forward the user name, password, and instructions to the employee’s primary address Business manager would be in charge of making sure that new business manager had access to this custom Option #2 – Instruction letter mailed directly to employee
WHEN CAN EMPLOYEES EXPECT TO RECEIVE ACCOUNT? s will be created once a month from payroll records for new employees Employees will be given a letter about their diocesan with their new hire packet They should receive their new within approximately 30 days of their hire date
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN EMPLOYEE TRANSFERS WITHIN THE DIOCESE? The employee would be in charge of making sure that the forwarded to the correct address For example, if the employee originally forwarded the to his personal gmail account, there would be no need to change the forwarder However, if the employee forwarded this to their work (i.e. they would be responsible for making sure that the was forwarded correctly. Transfers of day care employee s will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis
HOW TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD AND FORWARD YOUR CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF DALLAS OFFICE OF COMMUNICATIONS
STEP 1: CONNECT TO THE INTERNET Connect to the internet and open your browser (i.e. Internet Explorer) Type in the login address: mail.dallascatholic.org This will take you to the Network Solutions page and the login for dallascatholic.org
STEP 2: LOG IN TO ACCOUNT Type in your name and temporary password Click the green “Login” button The screen will open up to Network Solutions Webmail
STEP 3: CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD On the left side of the screen click on “Configuration”

I NEED TO RESET MY PASSWORD, IS THIS SOMETHING I CAN DO ON MY OWN? No, you will need to contact the Pastoral Center to reset your password. It can take up to four (4) hours for the password to be reset.
