AMERICAN POLITICAL SYSTEM
Presentation transcript:

 1) Centralization of power : The power was totally concentrated in the army without any civil participation. System Centralization which means all the power was in the capital “ Cairo” Centralization of the power in the hands of the president of the republic who owned a broad power under the constitution.

 2- Charismatic leadership Nasser evolved into a charismatic leader, not only of Egypt but of the Arab world, promoting and implementing “ Arab socialism “ Some researchers consider that feature the most important feature in this era

 3-The absence of political competition: Since the issuance of the law to resolve the political parties on January 18,1953 there were only one authoritative and representative channel which was the communism union. The communication channel was (top-down), the one party was responsible for ruling, controlling and monitoring.

 4- Social Policy The system followed set of social policies that evolved under several names such as social justice, cooperative and democratic socialism. Government was the only tool for implement the justice and welfare

 The absence of other political figures like the political organization played an important role in the lack of balance between the Tyranny of the political administration and the real meaning of political administration

 As a result of the internal reactions of the regime and the nature of challenges some problems took place : 1- popular leadership or charismatic leadership was successful but the absence of other legal political organization led to inefficient performance of the government.

2- the absence of regulatory framework that supposed to allow political participation also affect the government performance and allowed fully ruling elite control

3- the refusal of the ruling elite of other political organization existence lead to a series of referendums which deprived the views other than the possibility of the expression.

 4- the trampling of the political system legitimacy leads to many crisis like economic crisis which began in 1966 and Yemen war.
