Vamos a repasar… ¿Qué es un pronombre? What’s a pronoun? *A pronoun is a word (usually a little word) which replaces another word to either shorten a sentence or question or to clarify.

Direct Object Pronouns The direct object of a sentence is usually a person or a thing. It receives the action of the verb. It usually answers the questions whom? or what? in relation to the subject and verb. Sofia compró un boleto. subject verb object

Direct Object Pronouns You can simplify your statement in Spanish just like we do in English by substituting in a direct object pronoun for the object of the sentence which is receiving the ACTION of the verb. Sofia compró un boleto. subject verb object WHAT DID SOFIA BUY? Sofia lo compró. Sofia bought it. (referring to a ticket)

Direct Object Pronouns WHAT? WHOM? singular plural me me nos us te you (informal) os you all (informal) lo you (formal) / him / it (masculine) los you all (formal) / them (masculine) la you (formal) / her / it (feminine) las you all (formal) / them (feminine)
