Unemployment rate in Korea : 752, : 818, : 860, : 867, : 827, : 783,000

Relationship between crime and unemployment It’s not really obvious that unemployment presage crime. However, unemployment does affect to the crime. During 2002 to 2004 the number of unemployment and crime both increased. However, during 2005 to 2007 when number of unemployment increases then number of crime decreases and when number of unemployment decreases, it has opposite result. In conclusion, unemployment may affect to crime somehow but that influential.

Sexual Assault (Rape)

Sexual Assault (Rape): Example Nayoung Case: Is an incident that took place in December 2008, in which an eight year old girl (alias Nayoung) was on her way to school when she was kidnapped by 57 year old Cho Doo Soon, who was drunk at the time. Cho raped and beat Nayoung at a public squat toilet. Nayoung had injures to her internal organs, and was and taken to a hospital, surviving the incident. Cho was arrested and eventually sentenced to twelve years in prison.

Sexual Assault (Rape) 41.4% of criminals were an employee and 27.1% were unemployed person. From the criminals 34.1% were graduated from high school and 7.4% were graduated from middle school 3. From the victims 87.3% were women and 12.7% were men 3. Accidental motive were 45.6%, curiosity were 14.0% 3.

Sexual Assault (Rape) Often the victim doesn’t want others know about what happened to her/him, so she/he hide the fact that they were raped by others. That’s one of the biggest reason why it’s hard to catch sex offender in Korea. The society is also the problem because they don’t face the victim with same as before.

Court System - Supreme Court - The highest judicial tribunal in the nation. The Supreme Court is comprised of the Chief Justice and 13 Justices, serving as the final and highest tribunal regarding civil, criminal, family, administrative and military cases. The National Court Administration is headed by the Minister who concurrently serves as a Justice.
