Question 9: What is the work of creation? Answer: The work of creation is God making all things from nothing, by the word of his power, in the space of six days, all very good.

Christians trust God to tell us the truth about our origins  ‘Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.’ Hebrews 11:3

The Word was made flesh!  The Word, who is the Son of God, created all things.  The Word is the one who has become fully human and is forever a creature as well as the Creator.  When we put our trust in Jesus Christ we are ‘committing our souls to our faithful creator’!
