Q What is classification? A: Sorting things into groups based upon their characteristics is called classification.

Q How is classification useful for us? A: Classification makes it easy to understand and study things around us.

Q Which parts of plants can be eaten? A: We can eat roots, leaves and fruits.

Q What do plants need to grow? A: Plants need air, water, sunlight and warmth to grow.

Q How are plants and animals dependent on each other? A: Plants give oxygen for animals to breathe. Animals breathe out carbon dioxide for plants to make food.

Q Name some eatable roots. A: Carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, ginger, onion and garlic.

Q Name some eatable leaves. A: Spinach, cabbage, mint, coriander and lettuce.

Q Name some eatable fruits. A: Mango, apple, banana, grapes and papaya.
