Today (and the next class) we will be learning how to create your own book from the binding to what information will go into the book. You will demonstrate an understanding of Impressionism and the artists that we have studied by creating the contents of your book. Whatever you do not complete in class is homework!!!! Here is an example of what should be on each page of your art book. On the left page should be the name of the artist (dates born and died), an introductory sentence, type of brushstroke used, colors used, and what the artist chose to paint. The page on the right should include your drawing of one picture by that artist with information about that painting below (name of artist, name of painting, date, medium used, and location). You will do this for all 8 artists. ***Do not forget that you need to have one inch margins on both pieces of paper.
