Food  Bologna is known as the city of the fat and the learned because they have a great food culture  You have to try the Bolognese sauce!  Italian food is not just lasagna and spaghetti  Food in Italy has a large Mediterranean influence in the south  Try any and all kinds of food. You might get some weird stuff, but you will definitely not regret it.

What Else to Bring  Bring some cash  Currency in Italy is the Euro  Not every place will take a credit or debit card, so cash is always handy  Bring an open mind  The reason to go abroad is to learn new things and that also applies to people  Not everything and everyone will be what you are used to  Bring a camera!  You will definitely want to document this!
