PowerPoint only accepts movies that can be played by Windows Media Player If the movie plays in Windows Media Player, you can insert it as a media clip in your presentation by doing the following: On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Object. In the Object type list, click Create from file, and then enter the name of the movie file or click Browse.

Firstly you have to allow the ‘Developer’ tab to this by following the instructions below: Click the Office Button (Big windows button). Click the PowerPoint Options button. In the PowerPoint Options dialog box, select the Popular option from the list on the left. Make sure the box is checked beside Show Developer tab in the Ribbon. Click OK to apply the option.

Draw the YouTube Flash Movie Container Your mouse cursor will change to a + (plus sign) on the slide. Drag your mouse to form a rectangle on the slide.
