Software/Equipment Project by: Terrell Russell

Drivers Ed. Simulation A test of a motor vehicle's operating capability under road conditions. A test of driving ability on the road required of a person/student for a driver's license/permit. Goal is to teach students/persons the rules of the road, and how to drive.

Use/Value and Purchasing Simulators will increase the number of students choosing to get their permits, which will lead to safer drivers on the road. The value of the simulators is for students to practice on streets, and highways through graphics. To purchase an simulator can range from hundreds used to thousands. But very useful and helpful for drivers in training. Improvements: Games like who uses turn signals, brakes at the right times. Distraction options (friends in the car).

Drivers Ed. Software: **SimuRide** Safe method to learn and practice driving skills. Practicing parallel parking, passing, lane changing, highway merging. Practicing backing up with.

Use/Value and Purchasing This software is really good for those students and people who are intimidated of the road, this will give them extra confidence. SimuRide can be used in the classroom as well as at home to better driving skills. This software can be bought online (Amazon.com) at $ Driving in the city and outside the city by simulation. Driving in snow, fog, darkness and icy road conditions

CPR Equipment: Manikin and Defibrillator -CPR or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a manual method to keep the heart pumping in an emergency situation. -CPR is a good method to perform on some who has drowned, had a heart attack, or who has passed out, etc. -Manikins are rubber dolls used to practice techniques of CPR. -Students will get a hands on approach of how to deal with and handle a person who is in need by using manikins in the classroom.

Use/value and purchase -A defibrillator is a machine used to shock the victim's heart and restore the heart's normal rhythm patterns. When a defibrillator is used, it in effect kicks the heart into action again, causing it to continue sending blood throughout the body. - A Phillips Heart Start cost $1,200 online at (americanaed.com). -Very useful to display for and inform kids in the classroom.

Heart Rate Monitor A heart rate monitor is a personal monitoring device which allows one to measure his heart rate in real time or record the heart rate. It’s used by performers of all types of exercise. This is good equipment for students to monitor their heart rates during the mile run at the end of the school year like I had to perform for a final grade.

Value/Use and Purchasing If schools require students to purchased this particular monitor which costs $8.00 in there local Walmart or online, this will help students to monitor their own heart rates. No stopping and checking once a student purchases a heart monitor.

Exercise Equipment: Stationary Bike A bike that’s designed to be ridden in place. It only has a single wheel in the front, but provides the same results. Movable arms help provide a total-body workout. Soft seats and pedal straps increase comfort and stability. The Bike helps increase cardiovascular health and increase blood flow to the body. Inprovement: availability in schools.

Use/Value and Purchsing Used for heart health. Recovery from injuries. Blood flow. Cost is from $150- the thousands. Can be purchased on overstock.com.

Thank You.
