Read the article “What Is Government” and define the following terms: government, monarchy, democracy, and oligarchy.

Government – a system by which a country, state, or community is governed or ruled

Monarchy – a king or queen makes important laws for the country

Democracy – citizens of the country vote on laws and elect their leaders.

Oligarchy – a small group of powerful leaders controls the government and makes the laws.

Read the article “Limited & Unlimited Powers”.
