The Titans The Titans were six elder gods named Kronos, Koios, Krios, Iapetos, Hyperion and Okeanos. The sisters of the six Titans-Rhea, Theia, Mnemosyne, Themis and Tethys were called Titanides. The Titans rebelled against their father, Uranus. They did this by four of the five Titans including Hyperion were at the four corners of the earth to hold the sky, while Kronos in the middle stabbed him with a sickle. Many ages later, the Titans had a war with the Olympians, their children, over who would control the universe. Zeus along with his five brothers and sisters conquered the Titans with the help of the Hundred-handed monsters and a wise son of a Titan, Prometheus. Zeus then bound the Titans in chains and hurled them into Tartarus of the Underworld.
