Case study name Facts and figures Who was affected? Why?

Russian Energy Giants – Accounts for 92% of Russia’s gas production Is the sole gas supplier to several European countries including Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Moldova. Annual earnings of £31.55 billion Russian government still owns 50.002% of the shares.

Quiz Quiz Trade Get up and go and find somebody else in the room. Ask them your question and they must try and answer. Then they ask you your question and you try and answer. When you are finished swap questions and go and find somebody else and repeat!

Why would the Russian government keep a 50.002% share of Gazprom? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/ukraine/10902271/Europe-faces-gas-shortage-as-Russia-cuts-Ukraine-supply-after-talks-fail.html
