Volunteering Dozens of volunteers (up to 300 only in NPHCF) each year involve in Caritas health care activities, mostly in hospice care. Their help range from medical consultations, through basic care, to technical support and organization of leisure time. Volunteers are important tool of influence on the community.

Financing “NO PROFIT EUROPE” GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIP Vast majority of Caritas income comes from NPHCF activity. Main financing comes from National Health Fund (NHF).The contracted income in 2010 was 7.2 million PLN (ca 1.8 million Euro) Some services are obligatory for patients to be partially paid. Patients own fees are c.a.10% of NPHCF income.

Financing and crisis recommendations “NO PROFIT EUROPE” GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIP NPHCF activity is one of the principal, in addition to grants and 1% taxes mechanism, sources of Caritas funding. There always be the demand for such services. Recommendations in a crisis: - a permanent, independent, source of funding is crucial; - the scope of this source is different than the projects area; - it allows the flexibility of action and does not make so dependant from grant funders; - it allows to have your own contribution (obligatory in many projects).
