 Cooperation in Education in Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) - Same as other new ASEAN member countries, Lao PDR got the supported from Singapore to upgrade the capacity building for the Lao Staff in all sectors such as: Administration and management, upgrade the capacity in using computer and English language

 In 2006, 16 staff in Education sector train in Lao-Singapore Center, in Vientiane and 22 staff train in Singapore  Cooperation in Private Education - Establish private school in Lao PDR - Establish Lao -Singapore Genetic Computer Center - Lao - Singapore Center ( for training English language)  Others: Seminar

 Provide Vietnamese teachers to teach at lower, upper secondary schools, National University in Lao PDR  Establish School in Lao PDR ( for talented students)  Lao PDR provides 30 scholarship for Vietnamese staff and students for long term study in Lao PDR

 SEAMEO RETRAC - Seminar: conduct the Seminar for the Education Administrators in Lao PDR ( Lao PDR responsible for the cost of the trainee/participants and Ministry of Education in Vietnam or SEAMEO RETRAC responsible for the lecturers / trainers

 Bilateral MOU in Cooperation in Education between Ministry of Education, Thailand and MOE, Lao PDR  Gov’t of Thailand provide - Study Tour 5-10 scholar/year for Higher Education Staff - Study Tour for all sectors 90 scholar/year and for academic 12 scholar/year  Gov’t of Thailand provide the cooperation in curriculum development in pre-school, primary school, Lower and Upper secondary school

 Exchange students, teachers and researcher every year under the program of exchange the human resources and students in neighboring countries  Exchange students program for the students at Secondary level between Thailand -Lao PDR  Technical vocational College” Navamintharashini Moukdahan and Savannakhet Technical College ” to develop the curriculum in 6 branches

 Australia Universities and Vientiane College - 40 Scholarship/ year for students, teachers and staff to study bachelor and Master Degree to study in Australia -15 scholar/year for 6 months training English language Course in country - Training for Interpreter and translator for the staff at MOFA, in Vientiane College, Lao PDR - 64 scholarship for provincial students to study at National University of Laos, in Vientiane

 Bilateral MOU in Cooperation in Education between Ministry of Education, Republic of China and MOE, Lao PDR  Gov’t of Republic of China provide short and long term scholarship - 44 scholarship for Bachelor, Master and Doctoral Degree  30 scholar supported by Soochow University, Co-finance between University and Students parents - Soochow University will establish the University Branch in Lao PDR
