Your education, experience, and work ethic also determine the amount of money you can make. Earth science jobs are some of the highest paying jobs out there. The minimum wage across Canada ranges from $7.25 to $8.50 per hour. But Earth science students graduating with a university degree, college diploma, or technical certificate can expect to earn around double this as soon as they start working! With experience, training, and added job responsibility, their income quickly rises.

A future look The world will always need a geologist to inspect the ground to okay it for building and oil company need them to look for oil and precious minerals such as gold, platinum, dimonds..and new energry effectent ways aremore and more popular and geologist and use the earth the heat and cool houses.

Working conditions Geologists are employed by consulting firms, government agencies, science centres, museums, and academic institutions, as well as by resource, exploration, engineering, and environmental companies. During most of the year, geologists have fairly regular work hours. They work in offices, doing research and writing reports about their findings. Some of their time may also be spent in a lab, analyzing soil and rock samples. Eight or 9-hour days and 5-day weeks are typical. However, during the busy summer months, when most fieldwork takes place, they may have to work 12 to 14 hours a day, sometimes 7 days a week. Fieldwork takes patience and stamina. Geologists may have to travel extensively in vehicles and on foot. They might also have to live in tents or other rudimentary shelters for weeks on end. This type of work is frequently done in foreign countries, in extremely remote and occasionally inhospitable areas and in all weather conditions. Despite the long hours and difficult conditions, geologists are expected to produce accurate and well thought-out reports.
