Recreation Industry Parks Recreation & Tourism is the biggest industry in the world. When looking for a job outside of college it can sometimes be overwhelming. With a PRT degree there are endless options that open up. Whether you want to work in hotels, for therapeutic reasons, be an local recreation center counselor, or manage your own recreation business. The world becomes your playground and ultimately your office.

What you could do with Commercial Recreation One of The University of Utah’s alumni, Jared Hopkinson, was a graduate with a degree in PRT and an emphasis in Commercial Recreation. With that degree Jared created his own business called Sawtooth Adventure Company, which is located in Idaho and allows people to whitewater raft, fly fish, mountain bike, and experience the outdoors is a beautiful and fun way.

Why Commercial Recreation is right for you Commercial Recreation is known as the business side of recreation and because of that it opens up the door for entrepreneurial opportunities. By taking many of the classes offered at The University of Utah in its PRT department you are prepping yourself to become a creative and experienced individual with the ability to make and manage a business that people everywhere will love.
